Community Health Fair
The Community Health Fair sponsored by Heritage Medical Center is planned for February 23 – 28, 2009. Week long lab draws will be scheduled for participants to come to the hospital to have their blood drawn for tests which include CBC/CMP & Lipid Profile; the three lab tests ordered for a routine physical. The cost for this screening will be deeply discounted at $30. Insurance will not be billed as this is done by an individual’s request and not physician ordered.
Hours for the lab draws will be: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Twelve hours of fasting is recommended for more accurate results. No appointment will be necessary during those hours.
Results from the blood tests will be available during the HMC Community Health Fair on Saturday, February 28th at the Heritage Medical Plaza from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Physicians and hospital staff will be present Saturday for lab result consultations, a variety of free health screenings and to present health and dietary information.
Phlebotomists will also be on hand for blood draws during the health fair beginning at 7:00 a.m. for those unable to participate during the Monday – Friday lab hours.
Breakfast will be served to Health Fair guests with door prizes and give-aways rounding out the day’s events.
