Bedford Home Health is a State Licensed, Medicare Certified, Joint Commission Accredited agency providing intermittent health services in the privacy of your own home or place of residence. Home Care is available to all age groups.
Who qualifies for Home Health?
Your physician must order services. You must require skilled intermittent services. Leaving home must be taxing and infrequent (requirements may vary with different insurance policies)
Who pays for Home Health?
Most Home Health Services are covered by Medicare, TennCare, or Private Insurance. Each payer has different coverage and requirements. A representative from our agency can explain your individual plan.
How do I obtain Home Care Services?
Talk to your physician. To ensure that your home care needs are met properly, the physician orders all home care services.
What does Home Care supply?
- Skilled Nurses for post hospital follow-up, teaching, administration of IV medications, wound care, skilled assessment, and venipunctures in conjunction with other skills
- Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy for strengthening and Rehabilitation
- Medical Social Worker
- Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with bathing
Home Care is an INTERMITTENT service that does not provide custodial care. It can help shorten your hospital stay and in some instances be an alternative to Nursing Home placement.
